The Park Slope Afterschool Center Corp. (PSACC) endeavors to provide partial and full scholarships to children in households that are experiencing financial hardship. One guideline used to determine scholarship eligibility is household income levels that qualify for free or reduced lunch. Each scholarship continues through the end of the school year or until the financial circumstances of the family changes, whichever comes sooner.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. To apply, please do the following:
1. Complete the PSACC Scholarship Application.
2. Complete the registration process at http://psafterschool.org/registration.
3. Write a brief statement explaining your need for the scholarship.
4. Provide a complete, signed copy of your most recent federal income tax return or other financial documentation for all parents and/or guardians.
The application and all supporting documentation may be submitted securely online. If necessary, the supporting documentation may be submitted in a sealed envelope addressed “Confidential – Afterschool Scholarship Application” in the locked, black Afterschool drop-box in the school office, or mailed to PSACC, 358 Seventh Avenue, PMB 106, Brooklyn, NY 11215.
Scholarship application approval is at the sole discretion of the PSACC Scholarship Committee once an application is determined to be complete. All financial information submitted will be treated confidentially.
A child whose parents/guardians have applied for a scholarship may attend at no cost until the review process has been completed and the decision regarding the scholarship is determined. When the amount of the scholarship is determined, any fees not covered by the scholarship are due.
If you have any questions regarding the application process, please contact PSACC at firstname.lastname@example.org.
