Capoeira

2:30pm-3:30pm (1) 3:30pm-4:30pm (2) Capoeira is a form of martial art developed by Africans in Brazil in the 1500s. Part martial art, part dance, part gymnastics, Capoeira will engage children in a mesmerizing and exhilarating physical dialogue practiced to the sound of percussive instruments, song, and hand clapping. |
CinemaKidz Survivor
Thursday / Friday - In Person Starts Feb. 25th
2:30pm-3:30pm (4) 3:30pm-4:30pm (5) Immerse yourself in the natural world and test your survival, acting, and team skills at CinemaKidz! Kidz start with a Survival Skills workshop, as they learn all about making shelters, building fires, and how to live in the wilderness. This class will meet outside at Prospect Park to act in, film, and create their very own Survivor Show. |

Fairy/Gnome & Animal House Building
Monday - In-person Starts Jan. 25th
2:30pm-4:30pm (K) (rotating weeks) Children will have a blast building animal house and fairy/gnome house building with nature items found in the park with Ms. Sivan. Originally from New Mexico with a BFA in Acting from Brooklyn College, she teaches outdoor classes at the Bronx Zoo and Brooklyn Botanic Garden. |

Gardening
Thursday - In-person Starts Feb. 25th
3:00pm-4:00pm (2) 4:00pm-5:00pm (3) This Fall's gardening classes will mostly be located in Prospect Park, with possible field trips to a community garden. Class activities will cover a range of garden and plant-related topics involving science, arts, crafts. Rainy day virtual classes will include cooking demos and food activities. The kids will learn about planting, composting, seed saving, bugs, birds, trees...! |
Knitting & Needlework
Monday - Online Starts Jan. 25th
3:00pm-4:00pm (1-2) 4:00pm-5:00pm (3-5) Children explore various needle arts including knitting, crochet, loom knitting, and weaving. Needle arts use both sides of the brain to develop logic, creativity, fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and focus. Children will receive supplies at the start of this class. |
Kindergarten/Little Explorers

2:30pm-4:30pm (PreK-K) Outdoor play, art and fitness are all part of this mini afternoon camp experience! Children will have a monthly focus of exploration to enjoy with their PS107 classmates and dedicated teacher. Children will remain in a "pod," with not more than 8 of their friends. |
Magic
Thursday - Online Starts Jan. 21st
5:00pm-5:50pm (1-5) More than any specific tricks or talents, this class will seek to teach performance. We will be constantly performing for one another. The emphasis will be on cultivating a performance that is grounded in the wonder one feels when first seeing an amazing trick performed. |
MIT Scratch
Thursday - Online Starts Jan. 21st
3:00pm-4:00pm (2-3) 4:00pm-5:00pm (4-5) Students create animations and games with MIT Scratch. Scratch is a platform developed by MIT that is designed to teach kids to write code. We’ll learn programming concepts like loops and conditionals, and break complex ideas down into small steps. |
Musical Theater Glee

CodingCoding Thursday - Online Starts Jan. 21st
4:30pm-5:15pm (1) Are your kids missing some STEM time with Ms. Marybeth? Here's the answer! Coding using Code.org. She will introduce drag and drop and block-based coding using the Code.org platform. She will mimic what the 1st graders would have been learning in school if we had STEM/Computer Science this year. Before you sign up, just check that Code.org will work on your student's device. There is no app, so simply click on the Hour of Code link and try a few Dance Party activities to gauge device compatibility. Raise the Bar: Hip Hop Songwriting
Wednesday - Online Starts Jan. 20th
4:15pm-5:15pm (3-5) Raise The Bar is a cutting edge, virtual, hip hop music songwriting and recording class. Guided by a Billboard Chart and Rolling Stone Magazine featured artist, Mr. Marc, 10 lucky students will brainstorm, write, practice, and record a professional hip hop song. Students can choose to rap, sing, write, "ghostwrite", or go for it all! |
